AGM

The AGM was held on January 17th 2008.We are well on the way to receiving the "Star Mark", a BTA standard for clubs. Thanks to Rob Bishop who has been a great help in guiding us through the mass of paperwork that has been required.

Congratulations...

Congratulations to Paul Taylor who is now working as a coach for the British Triathlon Association. Something Paul has been working towards for a long time, welldone mate.

Big Thank You

A big thanks to everyone who donated to the "save the Tri-Club" campaign. We managed to raise £280 on the night. This has eased the current financial situation considerably if not completely. If you were unable to donate on the night, do not fear, there is still time to donate and remember "it is better to give than to receive!"(most of the time!)

Non Swimming Members...£36:00, either as a one off payment or Direct Debit £3:00 per month.
Triathlon Membership, £13:00 per month by Direct Debit. (no swim fee).
Casual Swims are set at £4:00.
Student Membership...£5 PA...Swims..£1:50.
Under 16 Membership...£1:00. Swim 50p.
We are affiliated to... British Triathlon Assosiation.

Presentation Night

Club presentation night was held at the Football Bar Wildhouse Lane on 14th December 07 starting 19:30hrs it went on till late. Open shirts, chest wigs, medallions, was the prefered dress of the night, but only a handfull of those attending took up the invite. But non the less a good time was had by all. Your support in attending this event was greatly appreciated.

Diary

Club Ride

Dave (fred scuttle) Smith & Pat Rice are to organise a "Club Ride" every 3rd Sunday in the month, 1st of which was 21st October 07, aimed at getting all abilities out together including the grills, all egoes must be left at home, so we get to know one another this ride will include a cafe stop. There will be a minimum donation of 1(one) English pound.

Club Championships

This years club champs, a bike / run was based around Centre Vale Park Todmorden. The weather for the day was fine if a little cold, the bike, 7.5 mile and the run 2.5 mile went of without a hitch. The Final result times where worked out on a MPH formula this gave the closet result we have ever had. You should all have the finish times now with the exeption of Ruths time, JJ is working out her final time as we speak so when I (bp-s) have it I will place reult on "Results Page".

Graham Richards Memorial Ride

Graham Richards Memorial Ride to Ingleton took place on 10th December 2007 organised by Simon (it's my band) Anderton it went well and the turnout was well above expectation. Welldone all those whe turned out.

Other Training Sessions

Other training sessions open to club members...Track running @ Springhill school Queensway, with Middleton Harriers 1900 - 2100.
ABC Centreville are running a circuit training session at Littleborough Community School Calderbrook Rd Time/Day???
Swims on Tuesday 8.30-9.30pm at Middleton pool, Friday pm Rochdale pool 8-9 pm with Rochdale Swimming Club coached by Mark Lord.

Velodrome

Taster Sessions Essential for all beginners and riders new to the Velodrome. Monday 5.00 - 6:00pm Tuesday 12:00 - 1:00pm Wednesday 12:00 - 1:00pm Thursday 12:00 - 1:00pm, 5:00 - 6:00pm Friday 12:00 - 1:00pm Saturday 6:00 - 7:00pm Sunday 1:00 - 2:00pm, 5:00 - 6:00pm Cost includes bike hire for Taster Sessions. Advance booking and payment required Cancelled sessions can only be transferred or a refund made if more than 7 days notice is given.


HQ Anyone

Anyone know of a building, or the like, that we can use as a Club HQ let BP-S know.
